D.A.P. NEW TITLE FORM INSTRUCTIONS

1. Go to our website: http://dapbooks.com

2. Click Publisher Login button

3. Enter Username and Password (both case sensitive). Click Login

4. Click the green + Add New Book button in upper right corner

5. Click the green Continue button

6. Complete as much information as possible when you set your titles up initially. You must have a valid and unique ISBN. You must enter the 13 digit ISBN with dashes. If you do not have complete title details upon initial set up, you will be able to log in later to revise and provide the additional required information.

7. Indicate whether the new title information is complete and ready for submission to D.A.P. by selecting YES or NO at the bottom of the page when you reach the field Is Your New Title Form Complete.  Your title will then eligible for the D.A.P. Catalogue listing.  Refer to Catalogue Schedule. for the relevant dates.

8. Click the green Save button in upper right corner.

9. To add another title, repeat these steps.

10. To edit a title that you have already set up, click on the edit button in the left hand column next the title listing.

10. When finished, click the Log Out link on upper right of the screen.

PLEASE NOTE THE ARTBOOK|D.A.P. HOUSE STYLE BELOW:

  • For monographs we include the birth date of the artist—"Ed Ruscha (born 1937"—and the artist's location, for sales reference.
  • We do not use serial commas.
  • Titles of books and exhibitions are italicized, artworks are in quotation marks.
  • We do not use caps in titles unless they include an acronym.
  • We do not capitalize the word that follows a colon or semicolon.
  • If a noun ending in an s is possessive, it should be rendered James' and not James's.
  • We spell out numbers one to nine but use numerals for 10 and over.
  • Centuries are numeric (e.g. 19th century). Decades are written numerically (e.g. 1980s), with an apostrophe when abbreviated (e.g. '80s).
